Happy Easter!

Sat Apr 15, 2006, 9:53 PM
Some of you may be wondering if I still exist. I have for the past few months been doing precisely that. But not to worry, things are changing. Things are changing everyday. Got a few updates for everyone:

:bulletgreen: Being An Art Student Sucks.
This is true of anyone who thinks they can be a computer art student and Not get stuck doing the traditional crap. Well, I suppose it's not crap, but I didn't spend $30,000 to sit around drawing when my field is web and print design. I'm a mediocre sketch artist at best and well... I just don't plan to be doing spot on sketchs or the gallery work for the rest of my life. Trust me, if you see traditional work by me in a gallery, I'll be the owner of said gallery. But, I won't have too much longer at being a student cause...

:bulletblue: I'm Moving!
That's right I'm moving. Where to? Montana. What's out there? Well, umm, not really sure. I can say that it's not NY, so that's a good thing. No, I don't hate NY, but the government of our beloved state is probably one of the worst in the country. Business friendly? Hahaha! That's a good one. Montana is a change, an ability to go out west, and a way to start a business out there. Simple as that. I should be going out there June this year. *Crosses fingers*

:bulletred: So What Have I Been Doing?
Working on various projects here and there. Most notably SeerNET, which is a sort of site network hub. I've also been playing with Magewear and Dark Water Pirate. The network is just a little way I can output some of my geekiness without actually forcing anyone to look at it. But if you do happen to look, I hope you enjoy it and maybe buy something. ;) Also, I've been playing tons of WoW. If you play, I'm on Dark Iron, and my character's name is Eliphas.

:bulletpurple: Why Doesn't The Comment Revolution Stamp Work?
Just before coming back home for spring break, I was informed that the server hosting the stamp (and about 100 sites) decided to die. Then the backups were eaten by a virus. I'm not kidding. I'm helping to reconstruct whatever sites I can, though the stamp will probably get moved over to Seer Interactive at some point. Till then, I'm feeding the stamp in this journal off the scrap pile. I'll hopefully have changed hosting URLs up by next week.

So that's about it. I haven't been doing terribly much, but I plan to get moving along with things at a faster clip as this goes along. Gotta make a few changes around my profile too. Got some rather outdated things like IDs and additional stamps to change.

Seems to be the popular tag these days.

Happy New Year!

Sat Dec 31, 2005, 11:38 PM
Ahh... Another year another umm... Well, whatever that is. I'll keep this somewhat brief and say I have a few projects I'll be working on this upcoming year including a series of networked websites, which I will unveil as soon as I really begin work on them. But that is for tomorrow.

Today... We Party!

Finals Week '05

Mon Dec 12, 2005, 6:07 PM
That's right boys and girls, it's finals week here in Oneonta and well... I'm stressed. I have finals most of the week including doing multiple 150dpi digital prints (done!), another full website, studying for a test, and writing a Hebrew essay. On top of all this, I still need to find another art class. Arg. So, yes, this week will be long, and I probably won't be on too much other than when I'm at work or between studying. So yeah...

Been A Bit Interesting These Few Days

Tue Nov 22, 2005, 5:24 PM
So I've had an interesting and fun and painful couple of weeks. It mostly boils down to a couple of trips and what not. Other than that I've just been whittling down some of my messages on DA and I only have something like 183 devs to start commenting on, so I'm going to try and get to those sometime this break. Well, we'll see because I got some site projects and Hebrew homework to do.

:bulletblue: The UN and NYC
Last Wednesday I took a trip to New York City (my first time there) to go to the United Nations building for a couple of boring briefings and a tour. We started out from school at about 4:30AM, then stopped once on the thruway (where I got sick), and finally made it into the city by 9:00AM.

The briefings as I mentioned above were boring. We were crowded into a tiny auditorium filled with old ladies and forced to listen to the audio version of a pamphlet on the UN’s efforts at democracy in Afghanistan and Iraq. I slept through most of it until Dr. Khan got up and spoke, he was the most active.

After shuffling out, we took a tour and got to see the Security Council and general assembly (neither in session). The building really shows its age, though that’s okay. The gifts from China, Taiwan and America were impressive; they also had some melted objects from Hiroshima there.

Lastly, we decided to take a walk to downtown Manhattan. So off we went for nine city blocks and went and saw Grand Central Station and Times square, both of which I was rather amazed at. Overall, it was a fun trip, I’d do it again, but I rather be able to spend the night and have more time to see the sights.

:bulletred: And Then I Went To The Hospital
So this morning I went in for surgery. Nothing major, just a quick procedure to stretch out my esophagus. But damn did they have a lot of tubing. So, I got there, got my gown on, and then they spring this whole concept of an IV on me. Let me tell you, those things hurt like a bastard. The sting goes away after a while, but damn it does suck for a bit. The good news about it though was that they were using it to feed me drugs. I was happy for a little while. Come surgery time, I had the IV, an air tube, electrodes, a finger clamp, and a tube down my throat. Oh yeah, this took ten minutes. Yeesh.

But everything went off without a hitch. I’d like to thank the hospital staff (who probably will never read this), everyone who prayed for me (thanks guys!), and God (We talked this morning; he said it’d be fine).

:bulletgreen: Projects and The Like
So as of right now, I have to redesign a blog, build a club website, translate 4-5 lessons of Hebrew, and maybe flesh out some storyboards for a video project this week.

Joy. :p

P.S.: I'll have more later on. These last two things were pretty big so I didn't want to add to them.

Apathy At It's Finest!

Fri Nov 4, 2005, 12:12 AM
If I were to say that I haven't been on in a bit, it would be a half lie. I've been around, looking, watching, but doing nothing. Yes, I have encountered apathy and it's name is World of Warcraft. A game that literally sucks out your soul and replaces it with... Ummm... I'm not sure, but it has the consistency of mildly chilled jello.

But not to worry, I've got a plan. Well, I'm just waking up and doing things I guess. I know I'm not submitting much in terms of creative stuff right now, mostly school and client work. I hope that might change sometime, but maybe not just quite yet. Besides, I have a few messages to deal with first:

- 194 Deviations
- 68 Journals

And this is after I started cleaning. I have a ways to go. I imagine I'll be done by the time 194 more deviations fill my inbox. Lol.

:bulletgreen: Free Belgium Domains (.be)
This was something neat I saw the other day, thought I'd post it up. Seems this ISP has a great new promotional deal to get Belgium on the internet map. Check it out here: [link]

:bulletblue: Random Serenity Quote
Mal: What was that?
Wash: Did you see that?
Mal: Was that the primary buffer panel?
Wash: It did seem to resemble...
Mal: Did the primary buffer panel just fall of my ship for no gorram reason?

Alright, time to get back to work. I'll deal with messages, additional deviations, and more right after I mine all this copper... :p
